Terms of Service

Effective 4 September 2026 · Version 2.0. These Terms, together with the policies they reference, are the agreement between you and Hookup Emporium.

1. Words we use

UGC — user-generated content: anything you upload, post, or send.
CSAM — child sexual abuse material: any visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, as defined at 18 U.S.C. § 2256.
NCII — non-consensual intimate image: an intimate image or video of an identifiable person shared without that person's affirmative consent.
Affirmative consent — a freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous agreement by every person depicted, to both the creation and the sharing of that content.
Section 230 — 47 U.S.C. § 230, which limits the liability of an interactive computer service for content its users create.

2. Accepting these Terms

By creating an account or continuing to use Hookup Emporium you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service.

3. Who may use it — strictly 18+

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. There is no exception and no waiver.
You are responsible for knowing whether using this service is lawful where you are. We refuse registration in jurisdictions where we know it is not.
You may not use the service if you are listed on any sex offender registry.
By registering you warrant that you are 18 or over, that your use is lawful where you are, and that what you told us is true.

4. What you may and may not post

Hookup Emporium is suggestive, not explicit. Sexually explicit content is not permitted — no nudity, no depictions of sexual acts, in profiles, albums, or chat. Photos are classified before they are stored, and content that breaches this is rejected rather than removed later.

The following are prohibited absolutely, and the consequence is permanent removal:

CSAM, real, simulated, or generated by any means. This triggers immediate termination and a mandatory report to NCMEC under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. There are no exceptions and no appeal.
NCII, or any content depicting an identifiable person without their affirmative consent.
Content presenting non-consensual acts as consensual, or eroticising sexual violence, coercion, or incapacitation.
Content depicting anyone who appears intoxicated or otherwise incapable of consenting.
Bestiality.
Anything connected to trafficking, or the solicitation, advertising, or facilitation of it.
Minors in any context, including non-sexual images, given the nature of this service.
Hate speech, harassment, threats, and doxxing.
Commercial sexual services, solicitation, advertising, or promotion.

5. Consent for content showing other people

If you upload anything depicting an identifiable person other than yourself, you must have their documented affirmative consent, and be able to produce it if we ask.
Uploading NCII is a criminal offence in many jurisdictions. It can expose you to prosecution and civil liability as well as permanent termination here.
Keep your consent documentation for as long as the content is on the platform and for three years afterwards.

6. The licence you give us

By uploading content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, distribute, and moderate it, solely to operate the service and meet our legal obligations. This does not let us sell your content or license it to third parties outside running the platform.

7. Moderation and Section 230

We may remove any content that breaks these Terms, the law, or our policies, without notice and at any time.
Moderating is not an assumption of editorial responsibility for what users post, and is not a waiver of any protection available under 47 U.S.C. § 230.
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of user-generated content.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hookup Emporium shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to user content, interactions between users, or use of the platform. Total aggregate liability to any user shall not exceed the greater of the fees that user paid in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred United States dollars. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Disputes — arbitration and class action waiver

Except for claims that may be brought in small claims court, and except for requests for injunctive relief, all disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the platform shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Each party waives any right to participate in a class action or representative proceeding. Arbitration shall proceed on an individual basis only.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Account, and it takes everything attached to it with it. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these Terms or the law. Where a suspension is appealable, the route is in our Community Guidelines.

11. Governing law

Hookup Emporium is operated from Bothell, Washington, United States. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and by the applicable laws of the United States — including without limitation 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, 47 U.S.C. § 230, and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Where any provision of our policies conflicts with federal law, federal law controls. Where a provision conflicts with the law of the state you live in, we will comply with both wherever that is possible, applying the more protective standard.

Any claim that section 9 permits to be brought in court rather than arbitration shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington State, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the place where you live.
