Effective 4 September 2026 · Version 1.0. How consent, reporting, and safety work here — and what we will do when something goes wrong.

1. Age and access

Registration is restricted to people aged 18 or over. Every new account passes an age gate and must supply a date of birth; an account declaring an age under 18 cannot be created.
Document-and-selfie verification is available and earns a verified badge. Where you verify, the check is run by a qualified third-party provider under a contract that forbids using your documents for anything else, and document images are purged within 30 days.
Circumventing or attempting to circumvent the age gate is grounds for immediate permanent termination, and we retain a record of the attempt for law enforcement.

2. Consent

Everyone agrees to the same framework. Registering means accepting that every interaction here is between consenting adults, that non-consensual conduct is prohibited, and that you will not upload content depicting anyone who has not agreed to it.
Mutual interest gates contact. A conversation opens only when both people have expressed interest. Nobody can message you out of the blue.
Consent can be withdrawn. Anyone depicted in content on this platform may ask for it to be taken down on the basis that they no longer consent — whether or not they uploaded it, and whether or not they hold copyright in it. Verified withdrawal requests are actioned within 48 hours. Write to support@hookupemporium.com.
You must be able to show consent. If you upload anything showing an identifiable person other than yourself, keep documentation of their agreement for as long as the content is live and for three years afterwards.

3. Non-consensual intimate images (NCII)

Zero tolerance. Content determined to be NCII is removed immediately on discovery or on a credible report.
Removed first, investigated after. On a credible report the content comes down straight away and stays down for the duration of the investigation. If a report turns out to be unsubstantiated the uploader is notified and the content may be restored.
Priority handling. Reports of NCII, of a minor, or of someone in immediate danger are Priority 1: we aim to give an initial response within 24 hours. Other reports get an initial response within 72 hours.
An NCII report is not a copyright complaint. You do not need to own the copyright, and you should not wait to file a DMCA notice. Report it directly — see section 5. Our DMCA Policy explains the distinction.
Support. The Cyber Civil Rights Initiative (cybercivilrights.org) runs a crisis helpline and maintains a guide to legal remedies in most US states.

4. Child safety

Any sexual depiction of a minor is prohibited absolutely, results in permanent termination, and is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. Our full standards, including how we prevent, detect, and respond, are published as Child Safety Standards.

5. Reporting

Every profile and every conversation carries a Report control, with dedicated reasons for a fake profile, harassment, explicit content, and "involves a minor".
Reports naming a minor are routed for priority human review ahead of every other queue, and repeated reports against the same profile escalate it automatically.
You do not need an account to raise a safety concern: email support@hookupemporium.com and a person will respond.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

6. Blocking and control over who reaches you

You can block anyone at any time. A block removes you from their view, ends the conversation, and prevents any further interaction in either direction.
Private albums are visible only to people you have granted access to, and access can be revoked.
Where a safety report between two people is substantiated, we may impose a block ourselves without either party asking.

7. Meeting in person

We provide tools, not guarantees: we do not run criminal background checks on members. Before you meet someone, use the Safety centre — add a trusted contact, schedule a check-in for the date, and keep the panic button one tap away. Meet somewhere public the first time, arrange your own transport, tell someone where you are going, and leave whenever you want to.

9. Law enforcement

Valid legal process, and requests relating to child sexual abuse material, trafficking, or an imminent threat to life, should be sent to support@hookupemporium.com. We respond expeditiously and preserve evidence on request.
